Woodland burial for Liz Hughes 17th April 2020

Liz’s funeral will be held at Tan-y-Vol cemetery on Friday 17th April. It is a tranquil location in the beautiful countryside of Penmaenmawr, Conwy, North Wales. As anyone who knew her, would know, Liz didn’t like a fuss! & she chose to have a simple but beautiful woodland burial.
Sadly due to the current restrictions, no more than 10 people can attend the service, but hope this tribute page will give all those who want to celebrate her life, the opportunity to post their messages, prayers & photos in memory of Liz. There is even the opportunity to light a candle if you wish to.

This picture on the home page is one of my favourites of Liz many years ago, when she & Jeff were looking after our dog Snoopy for a number of months, while Richard & I were working away from home. Snoopy became an honorary member of the Brass band I believe & accompanied the band on many trips out!

We have been asked by a number of people about donations, and whilst Liz had not specified a particular cause per se, she was very supportive of raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, after her brother, Richard was diagnosed with this horrible disease in 2015 & from which he sadly died in December 2018. MND is a very cruel disease, and for which currently there is no cure & which robbed Richard therefore of any hope.We all need to have some ‘hope’ in life.

So, for those who do wish to make any donations in Liz’s name therefore, I am sure she would appreciate your support for the MNDA, as would myself & the rest of the family. Claire.
