My cousin Wendy was an amazing person! I'm one of the old ones who always knew her as Wendy and I spent many hours at her Mum and Dad's house in Ipswich, which was just down the road from where we lived. I think most people would like to think they will leave a positive mark on the world and I know Wendy has certainly etched hers in the hearts of many with her love and thought for others. Her faith was genuine and unbreakable, and I was constantly amazed by her positivity regardless of what life threw at her. With the sudden loss of her Mum way before her time and then her husband and brother, plus of course her own recent health challenges, she must have felt she was being tested in some way- but she still retained her joy for life and continued to think about others all the time. She really lived her values and at times of sadness she always had something uplifting to offer, bringing you out of the dark and into the light. My sisters and I will miss her greatly, but we are sure she is now with those she loved- something we know she never doubted for one second.
